Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming neighborhood that is located in the West Island, which is an island in Montreal. It is a part of the island that has been called "the West Island." West Island has a lot of diverse communities. Many who've never known about it may mistake it for a separate island facing west. Amanda Brugel was born there and her time was not long in the city. Brugel was raised in Courtice close to Oshawa the city of Ontario. The first goal she had was to become a dancer. However, a growth rate increased her height and she outgrew all of the dance partners she was able to have. In an article published by Toronto Star, she revealed that in heels she was 6 foot 1 inch tall. As I grew older than my male companions, I quit. There are many dancers who make the move to acting. For Bruce, it was her drama teacher who nudged her into this path. Her teacher invited her to take part in an audition in the school's production. She auditioned and was cast as Anne of Green Gables. A Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she was a theatre student and earned an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts in the year 2000. Over the past 20 years, the roles played by Brugel on TV and the big screen have been numerous. The character of Rita in the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most notable.
